Obituary of Karen Lynn Sault

Karen L. Sault, 69, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2012, at Rainbow Hospice Center after a battle with cancer, with her family at her side. On June 25, 1983, she married James Sault in Rome, Wisconsin. Karen worked at the Masonic Home and babysat numerous children for over 30 years. (She loved flowers and plants, and enjoyed making clothes for her children when they were young.) Karen enjoyed traveling through the United States with her husband reaching over 40 states. She was a member of Rock River Assembly of God Church and valued her "family" and friends in her faith community. Most importantly, Karen cherished spending time with her grandchildren, always having time and an encouraging word, providing all with treasured memories. Karen will be deeply missed by her husband Jim of Jefferson; her children Jeff (Shellie) McDermott and Bekki McDermott of Jefferson, Sandra (John) Grunewald of Fort Atkinson, Cheryll (Mike) McDermott of Oostburg, Ronald (Sherri) McDermott of Helenville, Tambi Sault of Jamestown, NC, and Tori (Rodney) Wise of Winston-Salem, NC, Traci Ohberg of Waukesha, Jim (Cheri) Sault of Rome, and Julie Sault of Jefferson; grandchildren Elizabeth, Kyle (Amy), Carl, Amber (Cole), Stephanie (Steve), Jared, Craig, Cassandra, Travis, Ryan, Christian, Alyssa, Johnathen, Tyler, Ella, and Amelia. Also surviving is her sister Barbara (Randy) Rupta of Mountain Home, AR, her brother Gary (Karen) Brennan of Farmington, NY, sister-in-laws Laurie Brennan of Yuma, AZ, and Maggie Brennan of Santa Ana, CA, along with many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other friends, and relatives. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Earl Jr., and Russell. A visitation and celebration of Karen's life will be held at the Rock River Assembly of God Church on Saturday, February 4, with visitation from 10 a.m. to noon followed by a service. A private burial will be held at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Rome, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that memorials be made to Rainbow Hospice Center.
