Obituary of Frank Virgil Brown

FRANK V. BROWN age 81 of Fort Atkinson, died Thursday May 24, 2018 at Rainbow hospice in Johnson Creek after a short illness.  He was born on December 22, 1936 in Edgerton, the son of Virgil Spencer and Verna Annette (Beahm) Brown.

After graduating from Edgerton High School, Frank earned his degree in Accountancy from Madison Business College.  Frank was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard.  He worked in the accounting department at Jamesway and Thomas Industries as Controller.

In 1975, Frank purchased Badger Press Inc.  He used his God-given talents and abilities to take a struggling company and build it into a success.  This accomplishment will be remembered as one of his crowning achievements in life. He retired in December of 2013.

Frank was known for his love of golf, a good glass of scotch, “shopping trips,” sabbaticals with friends, and his generosity.  He was an avid golfer with two holes-in-one.  He also golfed with the ProAm foursome in Scotland, Ireland, Mexico, and Bermuda.

Frank and Marilyn celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on March 24, 2018.  They built a beautiful life together with countless smiles, laughs, and precious memories with loved ones.  They enjoyed spending their time traveling, vacationing with family, and spending winter months in Arizona.  Frank was loved by many and will always be remembered for his generosity, his faith in God, and his remarkable ability to always break even at the casino.
