Obituary of Winifred Eda Marie Mistele

WINIFRED "WINNIE" MISTELE of Jefferson passed away May 19, 2012. Winnie was born in England to Erwin and Winifred Hauser on October 29, 1920, and came to live in Jefferson with her parents and brother, Marvin, at age five. She married Robert Mistele on August 30, 1942 at Camp Lee, Virginia. Winnie, like her husband, made her career at and retired from the Jefferson County Bank. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Fort Atkinson. Winnie will be deeply missed by her family: son John (Yolan) Mistele of Arbor Vitae, daughter Mary (Earl) Kessler of Muskego, and step-daughter Patricia Sims of Miami, Florida; grandchildren Kirsten (Kevin) Rabe of Newport Coast, CA, Allison (Leo) Werberg of Tappan, NY, and Ann Sims of Miami, Florida; great-grandchildren Bryan, Alexa and Kylie Rabe and Max Werberg; and her brother and sisters, Joseph "Joe" (Helen) Hauser, Gwen Stoppenbach and Mary Helen (Jack) Bayreuther all of Jefferson. Sister-in-law; Ruth Hauser of Janesville. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Marvin Hauser. In accordance with her wishes, Winnie was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 15, 2012 at Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, with Father Steve Capitelli officiating Friends may gather at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
