Obituary of John Lawrence Bound
JOHN "JACK" L. BOUND age 78 of Jefferson passed away on July 13, 2011 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. He was born on July 1, 1933 in Coloma Wisconsin, son of the late Lawrence and Beatrice (Gollmer) Bound. He married Jane Scheppert on June 19, 1954 in Janesville.
Jack graduated from Janesville High School in 1951. He was formerly employed at Mann Bros. Construction, and the Jefferson County Highway Department. He owned and operated the J.B. Western Store & Trailer Sales. He also worked as a Farrier and Horse Trainer for many years.
Jack served in the United States Army from 1954-1955. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and served as a Quarter Horse Judge. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Quarter Horse Association (WQHA), and the National Snaffle Bit Association (NSBA). He spent many years showing horses in these associations. He was voted into the WQHA Hall of Fame in 2008 and inducted into the NSBA Hall of Fame in 2004.
He is survived by his wife Jane of Jefferson

Brother-in-law; Wayne (Joyce) Scheppert of Stark City MO
Sister-in-law; Marlene (Joel) Braunschweig of Jefferson
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and half brother; Whitford "Adair" Blish.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Monday July 25, 2011 at the funeral home.
