Obituary of E. Ann Burhans

E. Ann Burhans , age 85, of Fort Atkinson, passed away June 7, 2010 at Willow Brook nursing home. She was born on July 13, 1924 in Watertown, to the late Ervin and Adele (Christian) Gillis. Ann was employed at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a long time member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson, and the Jefferson American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter Jean (William) Lemorande of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Marisa Lemorande, Bill (Minda Fan) Lemorande, Trever Burhans, one great grandson, Nicholas Burhans; one sister, Phyllis (John) Dittmann of Watertown, one brother, Kenneth (Vicki) Drost of Rogers, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Ronald Burhans; a brother, Melvin Gillis, and sisters, Lorraine Gillis (in infancy), and Dorothy Drost Meyers. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon Monday June 21 st at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock officiating. A private burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Friends may call on Monday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services.
