Obituary of Marcella Cecilia Schauss

MARCELLA C. SCHAUSS age 89 of Jefferson, passed away Wednesday October 21, 2009 at Countryside nursing home in Jefferson. She was born at home, April 3, 1920 in Edgar, daughter of the late Michael and Annastaisa (Kowalewski) Springer. She married Elmer "Duffy" Schauss on June 28, 1937 at Edgar; he preceded her in death on October 5, 1999. Marcella was employed at Schweiger Industries for 32 years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic church, and she was a volunteer at St. Coletta, and St. Vincent De Paul. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She is survived by one son James (Shirley) Schauss of Jefferson. Two grandsons; David (friend Julie) Schauss of Elgin IL Ricky (Dawn) Schauss of Chippewa Falls Two great-grandsons; Kurt and Shane Schauss One brother; Dwayne Springer of Jefferson She is also preceded in death by one sister; Dorothy and one brother Alvin, and sister-in-law Dolores Springer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday October 24, 2009 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial may be given to St. Lawrence Catholic Church in memory of Marcella. Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson is assisting the family with arrangements. The family would like to thank the nurses at Countryside Home for the wonderful care they gave to Marcella
