Obituary of Marian Terese Schiferl
MARIAN T. SCHIFERL age 94 of Jefferson Passed away on Wednesday September 30, 2009 at the Fort Atkinson Memorial hospital. She was born on May 22, 1915 in Jefferson, daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Vogel) Koch.
She married Herbert A. Schiferl on November 28, 1942 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church he preceded her in death on March 22, 2007.
Marian was a homemaker her entire life. She was a life long member of St. Lawrence Catholic church in Jefferson, and the St. Lawrence Catholic Women, the Christian Mothers, and a faithful member of the Prayer Chain. She was a member of the Women's Legion Auxiliary.
She loved spending time with her family, and enjoyed playing cards, and bingo, and dice.
She is survived by four daughters; Karen (David) Strauss of Fort Atkinson
Mary (Allan) Adamski of Verona, Ann Schiferl of Jefferson
Rita (Vincent) Kruchten of Dane, one son Gary Schiferl of Naples Florida
Five grandchildren; David Schroeder, Bryan (Lisa) Schroeder, Paula (Bill) Brandl
Beth Adamski, Katie Adamski
Three; step grandchildren; Lori (Nathan) Jansuz, Kevin (Andrea) Strauss, Christopher Strauss
10 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren
Two sister; Rose Gourlie of Pewaukee, Verna Kosharek of Milton.
Many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by one brother; Clarence Koch, one sister; Ann Bowers, twin grandsons; Craig, and Kevin Adamski
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday October 3, 2009 at St. Lawrence Catholic church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating Private Family burial will take place at a later date.
Friends may call from 4:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30p.m.
And then again on Saturday morning at the church from 11:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. with Mass beginning at 12:30 pm.
