Obituary of Bette Jo Rogneby

BETTE JO ROGNEBY, age 76 of Jefferson has begun her greatest adventure, eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bette passed away February 4, 2018 at the Rainbow Hospice inpatient center in Johnson Creek. She was born on June 18, 1941 in Cochrane, Wisconsin to Duane and Janette (Marx) Florin. Bette graduated in 1959 from Cochrane-Fountain City High School in Cochrane. She attended Winona Secretarial School after high school. She and Robert were high school sweethearts and were married January 21, 1960 at Cochrane, WI. Bette was employed as a Physical Therapy aid at Countryside Nursing Home and St. Coletta for many years. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She and Bob enjoyed traveling out West visiting family and friends. They also spent much time at their cabin in Buffalo City and boating on the Mississippi. Bette was a great cook and loved baking for her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Rogneby of Jefferson. Her children, Kimberly (Mark) Romness of Hudson, Steven (Darcie) Rogneby of Fort Atkinson, Lisa Kay (David) Madison of Jefferson, Wendy (Scott) Arnett of Watertown. 10 grandchildren, Brandon (Audra) Rogneby, Nicholas (Leah) Rogneby, Kylie Rogneby, Hannah Romness, Luke Romness, Elliott Madison, Austen Madison, Tyler Madison, Cory Arnett, Zachary Arnett. 4 great grandchildren, Logan Pulgarin, Harper and Hawkin Rogneby, Mackenzie Arnett. Brother Robert Florin of CA, Sister Susan (Rick) Traphagan of CO. Many nieces and nephews, and Bette's special friend Joy Fisher. Bette's coffee clutch Pat Funk, Gail Aumann, Barb Hauser, Judy Seisser. Bette's best friend Pat Funk who has been such a great support system for her and the family for so many years. She was greeted at Heaven's Gate by her mother and father. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday February 17, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Matthew Krenke presiding. Burial will take place at the Buffalo City Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be at the church on the 17th from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy you may wish to consider memorials to Alzheimer's Association or Rainbow Hospice.
