Obituary of LaVere E Garity

LaVere E. Garity went home to our heavenly father, Monday, January 22, 2018, during a brief stay at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI. LaVere was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved unconditionally, with every fiber of her being. Born on November 13, 1933 in Beaver Dam, WI to Lottie (Galster) and Forrest Gault and graduated from Jefferson High School, Jefferson WI in 1951. May 10, 1952, she married the love of her life, James (Jerry) Garity and began building her family of six boys in Sullivan, WI. After her retirement from Eaton Corp in Watertown WI, she bought an RV and traveled during the winter, to warmer parts of the country. She fell in love with Mesa, AZ and decided to make that her permanent winter home, always returning to Wisconsin to be with her sons and grandchildren from Memorial Day till Labor Day, every year. LaVere will be deeply missed by her sons, Jim, John, Tim (Pam), Dan (Ann), and Brian (Tamara). Grandchildren, Patrick (Sara) Garity, Jamie (Chris) Westenberg, John Michael Garity, Becky (Michael) Nordness, Jason Garity, Katie (Cody) Merk, Kelsey (Andy) Janetski, Jerry and Ben Garity, Marcie and James Garity, Shannon and Grace Garity, Great Grandchildren, Liam Garity, Leona Westenberg, Cole, Peyton, and Emma Nordness and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved very much. A Memorial Mass will be held on February 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church in Sullivan, burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday February 2, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00. Welcoming her to heaven were husband, James (Jerry), son, Thomas (TJ), parents, Forrest and Lottie, sister, Ruth Ingersoll, her grandparents and other family.
