Obituary of Norma Marie Elgas

NORMA M. ELGAS age 89 of Jefferson passed away Sunday November 12, 2017, at Jefferson Memory Care in Jefferson. She was born on August 3, 1928 in Helenville, Wisconsin. Daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Fornecker) Rueth. She married Cyril Elgas on September 2, 1950, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson, he preceded her in death on July 14, 1993. Norma had worked at Schweiger Industries and was a homemaker, raising her children. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish. She is survived by her children Diane Lenz of Fort Atkinson, son Tom Elgas of Whitewater. 2 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren Curtiss (Janna) Lenz and their children Lydia, Logan and Cohen Lenz, Kelly (Andy) Katrichis and their children Mason and Emmerson Katrichis. In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by brothers Irvin Rueth, Cyril Rueth, and Harold Rueth and sister Germaine Schroedl. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 15, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
