Obituary of Elmer William Boettcher

ELMER W. BOETTCHER age 85 of Johnson Creek passed away Wednesday March 23, 2016 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek. He was born on November 24, 1930 in Watertown son of the late William and Clara (Wolfram) Boettcher. He was baptized, confirmed and a lifelong member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington. He married Carol Klockow on January 5, 1974 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Elmer farmed in the Town of Watertown for 40 years. He was employed at Farm & Fleet in Watertown, for 18 years. He retired from Mid-State East in 1995. Elmer was a member of the Johnson Creek Historical Society, the Sierra Club, and the Dodge & Jefferson County Genealogical Societies. Elmer is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol (Klockow) Boettcher of Johnson Creek. His sister Patricia Langner of Hawkins WI. Other nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brother Allen Boettcher and George Wolfram and nephew Michael Boettcher. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington with the Rev. Paul Burk officiating with burial to follow in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Johnson Creek. Visitation will be at the Church from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday the 29th. Those wishing to give memorials in Elmer's name may direct them to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to Rainbow Hospice.
