Obituary of Clifford Wayne McGinnis

CLIFFORD W. McGINNIS, age 84 of Fort Atkinson passed away Sunday March 13, 2016. He was born on March 12, 1932 in Milwaukee, son of the late Clifford A. and Beatrice (Strange) McGinnis. Clifford served in the United States Army 82nd Air Borne. He was a mail carrier, and he owned and operated Cliff's Heating Service until retiring in 1992. He married Joan Gottschalk on June 21, 1952. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson. Member of DAV Chapter 39 and a member of the 105th Calvary Freedom Stables. He is survived by his wife Joan McGinnis of Fort Atkinson. Daughters Kathleen Kramer of Muskego, Sharon (Rick Grams) McGinnis of Milwaukee, Dawn (Steve) Armin of Hebron. Sons Michael McGinnis of Milwaukee, Patrick (Kelly) McGinnis of East Troy. Grandchildren Luke McGinnis, Samantha McGinnis, Katie (Patrick) Rock, Angela McGinnis. Sister Elizabeth Guinness of Chicago, former daughter-in-law Lori Hakola, best buddy Bill Zielke of Fort Atkinson, and his special pets Muffin and Patches. He is preceded in death by his son-in-law Todd Kramer Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson with the Rev. Russ Frees officiating. Family will be meeting in the Garden of Eternal Life at 3:00 pm. for Military honors crypt side at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Services at 11:00. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek.
