Obituary of Margaret Linn Richter

MARGARET L. "PEGGY" RICHTER, age 81of Johnson Creek, passed away on March 7, 2016 at Alden Estates of Jefferson. She was born on July 11, 1934 in Hartford Connecticut. Daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Watrous) MacGillvary. She married E. Larry Richter on February 16, 1955 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in South Glastonbury Connecticut; he preceded her in death on April 1, 2013. Peg worked at St. Coletta for many years; she enjoyed knitting and loved raising her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parishes in Jefferson. She is survived by her 8 children; Cynthia (Robert) Buss of Johnson Creek, Mary (Joey) Schultz of Johnson Creek, Glenna (David) Hartwig of Dodgeville, Annette (Roger) Bliefernicht of Watertown, Leah (Dave) Keller of Wild Rose. Sons Michael (Wanda) Richter of Watertown, Douglas Richter of Fort Atkinson, Adam Richter of Johnson Creek. 11 grandchildren Melissa (Brian) Enger, Megan Schultz, Sara Buss, Kristin (Eric) Zehren, Colin Hartwig, Samantha Richter, Chelsea Bliefernicht, Lindsey Bliefernicht, Margaret Keller, Grace Keller, Emily Keller. 5 great grandchildren Zaida, Laila and Emry Zehren, Caleb and Callie Enger. Brother Douglas (Janet) MacGillvary of Manchester CT, Brother-in-law Craig French of Bloomfield CT, Sister-in- laws, Donna (Bud) Radtke of Polson, MT, Leah (Jerry) Mullane of Kenosha, and Brother-in-law Steve (Vicki) Richter of Fort Atkinson and her special friend Gloria Haas, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She is also preceded in death by her great grandson Cillian Hartwig, and Sister Jean French. Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on April 9, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson, with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, burial will follow in the Parish cemetery.
