Obituary of Lloyd Paul Frentzel

LLOYD "MIKE" P. FRENTZEL age 92, Watertown passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Marquardt Manor on Thursday March 3, 2016. He was born on October 24, 1923 in York Center, Wisconsin, son of the late Paul and Meta (Stelse) Frentzel. He served in the United States Army from 1943-1945, and he received a Purple Heart in Italy. He worked in construction with many crews, and was a member of the Laborers Union from DeForest. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his big garden. Mike was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson and the American Legion Reinhardt-Windl Post #164 in Jefferson. Survived by his wife of 69 years Gladys Frentzel of Watertown. Daughters Linda Frentzel of Madison, Sally Frentzel of Watertown, Lori (Brenda) Frentzel of Madison. Sons Michael Frentzel of Horicon, Richard (Sharon) Frentzel of Madison, Thomas (Julie) Frentzel of Romeoville, IL, Steven (Cheryl) Frentzel of Beloit 7 Grandchildren, and 9 Great Grandchildren Sisters Mae Lenz of Waterloo, Betty Gerstner of Watertown, Donna (Don) Fredrick of Pewaukee Brother Russell (Phyllis) Frentzel of Sun Prairie He is preceded in death by his parents, and 3 brothers and 6 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday March 10, 2016 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson with the Rev. Matthew Krenke officiating burial with Military Honors will follow in the Union cemetery.
