Obituary of Ronald Kenlyn Gaserude

RONALD K. GASERUDE age 78, of Jefferson, passed away Wednesday February 17, 2016 at the University Hospital Madison. He was born on March 27, 1937 in Beloit, Wisconsin, son of the late Lester and Edith (Allen) Gaserude. Ron served in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959. He married Kathleen Stauss on December 22, 1956 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson. He had worked at Diekow Cement Company and Hans Brothers for many years. He then worked as a mechanic on race cars. Ron had been a long time crew member and Crew Chief for Dick Trickel's NASCAR racing team and other Racing Leagues. In addition to his love of cars Ron enjoyed deer hunting. He will be deeply missed by his family, wife Kathie Gaserude of Jefferson. Daughter Patti (Dale) Dalby of Fort Atkinson, son Donald (Maureen) Gaserude of Fort Atkinson. 3 grandchildren Jeffery LeFave, Melissa Dalby, Stacy Gaserude, and 4 great grandchildren Trystian, Hunter and Aaron LeFave, and Landon Peterson He is preceded in death by his parents, son Dennis Gaserude, granddaughter Megan Dalby-Peterson, and great grandson Aiden Yanke. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday February 26, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, burial with Military Honors will follow in the Parish cemetery. Visitation will take place from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday February 25, 2016 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson and then again on Friday morning at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
