Obituary of Robert George Reindl

Robert G. Reindl "Butch", 88 of Jefferson passed away Saturday January 9, 2016 at Rainbow Hospice Care in Johnson Creek. He was born on August 23, 1927 in Johnson Creek, son of the late George and Hazel (Sullivan) Reindl. After high school, Butch proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1953. He married Lois Westerman on September 3, 1960. Together they attended many social events over the years, and loved to travel the U.S. along with many European countries including China, Japan, Russia and Greece. He was employed at Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson for 32 years where he made many friends. After retiring in 1988, he enjoyed being a driver for Midstate Auto Auction for 22 years. He was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson where he and Lois were married, and also attended St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He was a fan of the Brewers and Packers, and celebrated his 85th birthday tailgating with his family. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Jefferson, and enjoyed playing euchre with his card club at the Senior Center. In 2014, he was able to travel to Washington D.C. on the Honor Flight. Butch is survived by his wife, Lois of Jefferson; many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins; sister-in-law, Evie (late Ralph) Domzil; other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers-in-law: Gerald, Paul and Gordon Westerman. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church at 12:00 noon on Friday January 15, 2016 with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery with military honors. Visitation will also be on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Memorials in Butch's name may be given to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
