Obituary of Roger Dalles Meckley

ROGER D. MECKLEY, age 75, of Jefferson passed away Wednesday November 11, 2015 at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 1, 1940 in Spring, Illinois to William and Gladys (Artz) Meckley. Roger spent his career as a Police Officer in Clarksville, Tennessee. When he retired from Law Enforcement he moved to Jefferson to be closer to family. He is survived by his daughter Julie (Raymond) Robinson of Munford, Tennessee. Two granddaughters Amber (Daniel) Mitchell, Megan Robinson. Two great grandchildren Gavin Parker, and Hazel Mitchell. Sister Beverly Maher of Illinois, brothers Edward Meckley of Amarillo, Texas, Richard (Jane) Meckley of Illinois, Brother-in-law Larry Bird of Belvedere Illinois. Several nieces, and nephews, and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son Tracy Meckley, brothers William (Vi) Meckley, George (Elsie) Meckley, Robert Meckley, sisters Lorraine Bird, Hazel (Russell) Ostrum, Dorothy (Bruce) Crum. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home on Monday November 16, 2015 with the Rev. Kimberly Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock River Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
