Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Spangler

ELIZABETH "LIZ" A. SPANGLER, age 77 of Lake Mills passed away October 16, 2015 at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 1, 1938 in Madison daughter of the late Oliver and Vivian (Noggle) Knudsen. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater with her degree in Elementary Education. She taught school in Illinois, and then later in Cambridge. She married John Spangler on June 23, 1962 at St. Barnabas Catholic Church at Mazomanie. Liz enjoyed becoming a homemaker following the birth of her children. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Communities the St. John Parish. She was an active member of the Jefferson Jaycets. She will be deeply missed by her family. Husband John Spangler of Lake Mills. Sons Steven (Patty) Spangler of Twain Harte, CA Richard "Rick" (Wendy Moll) Spangler of Raleigh, NC, Jeffrey (Amy) Spangler of Lake Mills. 5 grandchildren Michael Spangler, Sarah (John) Fansler, Amanda Spangler, Avery Spangler, Carlee Spangler. 2 great grandchildren Ava and Jack Fansler. 2 sisters Lynnaris "Lynn" (Bill) Stadler of Kiel, Sandy Spencer of Evensville. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Kristin Spangler. Visitation will on Sunday October 25, 2015 be at the Schneider-Michaelis funeral home in Jefferson from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday October 25, 2015 at the funeral home, with the Rev.
