Obituary of Robert James McCaffery

ROBERT "BOB" J. McCAFFERY, age 55, of Johnson Creek, passed away Tuesday August 18, 2015 at Angels Grace Hospice Center in Oconomowoc after a lifelong battle with complications from Crohn's Disease. He was born on July 16, 1960 in Waukesha to Bernard and Nancy (Jewson) McCaffery. He married June Elaine Null on December 7, 1982 in Jefferson. Bob was a dedicated husband, father, friend, and son. On top of his duties as a family man, he was an avid sports fan particularly entertained by the Badgers and Packers. Bob never missed his children's sporting events, enjoyed playing softball, and was a fan of the Johnson Creek Pioneers Baseball. He served in the United States Marine Corp, as well as the United States Army Reserve, and was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson. He will be deeply missed by his family; wife June McCaffery of Johnson Creek, Daughter Ashlee (David) Hughes of Milton, sons Robert (Astrid) McCaffery of Mesa, AZ, and Mitchell McCaffery of Johnson Creek. Granddaughter Tawny McCaffery of San Jose, CA. His parents Bernard and Nancy McCaffery of New Lisbon, Sisters Kristina (Adam) Skaar of Pigeon Falls, Tamara Wendt of Mauston Brother Thomas (Susan) McCaffery of Palm Coast, FL Mother and father in law Wallace and Doris Walker of Fort Atkinson Brothers in law Scott (Laurie) Null of Lake Mills, Rodney (Elizabeth) Null of Lake Mills Lifelong friends Robert (Sharon) Anderson of Brookfield, Arthur Douglas of Watertown Plus many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his good buddy Tucker and maternal and paternal grandparents. Celebration of Bob's Life will take place on August 29, 2015 at the Johnson Creek Community Center in Johnson Creek, beginning at 12:00 noon with a Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. David Zandt officiating. As Bob would've wanted, all are invited to join with an attire consisting of causal sports apparel. Sharing of memories and more visiting will follow the service.
