Obituary of Robert Fredrick Lehmann

ROBERT F. "BOB" LEHMANN, age 90, of Jefferson passed away Friday April 3, 2015 surrounded by his family at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek. Bob was born on May 29, 1924 in Watertown, WI, son of the late Fredrick and Clara (Wittnebel) Lehmann. He married Jane Schakelman on September 11, 1946 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson. Robert served in the United States Marine Corp from 1943 to 1946. He attended Parks Air College in East St. Louis, IL and the University of Wisconsin Madison graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1951. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson. Robert owned and operated Felton Electric in Jefferson before retiring in 1990. Bob enjoyed flying. For many years he flew his Piper Cherokee 180 before switching to building and flying radio-controlled model airplanes. Bob loved life. He and Jane spent many winters at their condo in Marco Island Florida. He also enjoyed golfing, skiing and traveling. He is survived by his wife Jane of Jefferson. Son, Steve (Valerie) Lehmann of Jefferson. Daughters, Mary (John) Shurtleff of Pewaukee, Cindy (Gary) Ramthun of The Villages, FL Lisa (Larry) Rubach of Elkhorn, AFS daughter Vallaya Kuanchai-Pura of Bangkok, Thailand. 6 Grandchildren, Andrew (Julie) Shurtleff, Jeffrey Shurtleff, Genna (Marty) Erlien, Kelsey Staudacher, Whitney Staudacher, Natassia Pura. 4 Great grandchildren, Ryan Shurtleff, Matthew Shurtleff, Bennett Erlien, Maeva Erlien. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday April 8, 2015 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Matthew Krenke officiating. Friends and family are invited to share a luncheon immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall. Private burial with Military honors will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 7, 2015 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson and then again on Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
