Obituary of Warren Phillip Michaelis
WARREN P. MICHAELIS, age 92, of Plover formerly of the Jefferson area passed away Saturday February 7, 2015 at St. Michael Hospital in Stevens Point.
He was born on December 6, 1922 in Deerfield, Wisconsin son of the late Herman and Irene (Schimelphenig) Michaelis. Warren married Marcella Draeger November 12, 1942 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington. He served in the United States Navy 1945-1946, during WWII.
Warren wore many hats during his career, he was a Semi Truck driver, and Milk Hauler in his early years.
He and his wife farmed in the Farmington area on Christberg Road raising Hampshire hogs, Suffolk sheep and Angus Beef and, later, in the Lake Mills area on their Hy Quest Ranch on Hwy B, they raised and showed registered AQHA Quarter horses.
He also worked at the Jefferson County Highway Department, bartended at Snug Harbor. After selling the farm, he worked for the Jefferson School District and the Lake Mills School District as a custodian. Warren finished his working career working at the Chicago Northwestern Railroad.
Warren enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing cards He was an avid sports fan enjoying watching the Brewers and Packers.

Scott Levy of Neenah, WI, Sarah Miller of Louisville, KY, Alexander Schneider of Chicago, IL,
Ellyse (Charlie) Jacobs of Livonia, MI.
11 great grandchildren; Samantha, Dustin, Sydney Thomas; Sam, Cal, Gus Michaelis;
Adam, Ezra, Otto Nobling, Darby and Eden Gruennert.

He is also preceded in death by brother, Lynn (Jeannie) Michaelis; sister, Jean & brother-in-law Richard Schnurbush; and sister-in-law Vivian Michaelis.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson with the Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Farmington Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson, and then again on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
