Obituary of Bonita R Rue

BONITA R. "BONNIE/BONZ" RUE, beloved mom, step mom, grandmother, step grandmother, sister and friend completed her earthly mission on January 14, 2015 and crossed the Rainbow Bridge to join those she loves in heaven. She was born on May 3, 1937 to the late Austin and Margaret (Keinath) Mugridge. On October 12, 1957 she was united in marriage to Ronald C. Belstner in Lake Como. Ronald preceded her in death on July 1, 1979. She then married Donald D. Rue on July 9, 1983. Donald preceded her in death on March 1, 2006. Bonnie loved animals, music, playing cards, working in her yard, baking and decorating cakes, bonfire, pontooning, going to casinos, parties, and cooking for crowds. She and Ronald owned and operated the OX YOKE restaurant in Jefferson from 1957-1968. She drove School Bus for 33 years for Jefferson Bus Service. She also waitressed for 33 years at various supper clubs in the Jefferson area. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Jefferson, and being a winter visitor in Arizona since 1989 she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Peoria AZ. Bonnie was blessed with posterity of three sons Kenneth Belstner of Fort Atkinson, Daniel Belstner of Arizona and Timothy (Lisa) Belstner of Jefferson. Three step children Julie (Scott) Ihlenfeld of Fort Atkinson, Jeff (Karen) Rue of Racine, and Timothy Rue of Tomah. Three grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren. Very special friends, Marilyn Lee of Hoffman Estates IL, Jerry Witkins of Fort Atkinson, Luis Rodriguez of Arizona, Barb Crook, Jan Weilbacher of Jefferson. She is further survived by numerous other relatives and many friends. She is also preceded in death by her sister Betty Piantino. A Celebration of remembrance for Bonnie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday January 23, 2015 at the Immanuel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kevin Niebuhr officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
