Obituary of Betty Jane Barrett

BETTY J. BARRETT age 82 of Jefferson passed away Tuesday December 2, 2014 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek. She was born on February 25, 1932 in Johnson Creek daughter of the late Walter and Isabelle (Rodel) Klockow. She married Edwin Barrett on October 21, 1950 in Jefferson at the Immanuel United Methodist Church. She had graduated from Johnson Creek High School. Betty had worked at Copland Ryder Shoe Company and at Stoppenbach Foods. Betty was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Jefferson, and was a Lutheran Girl Pioneer Leader for many years. She and her husband enjoyed golf, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding, and watching the Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers. Betty had a beautiful flower garden. She received The Wisconsin Jaycettes Carol Award in 1966. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandsons. She will always be remembered for her unique sense of humor, and will be deeply missed by her family. Husband; Edwin Barrett of Jefferson. Sister-in-law; Barb Bostwick of Jefferson, Special Friend; Fr. Chuck Walders of Westfield, WI She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Isabelle, Step Father; Lawrence Bostwick, Brothers; Mike Bostwick, Fr. James Bostwick, Glenn Klockow, Sister Sherry Klockow. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday December 5, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Matthew Krenke officiating burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening December 4, 2014 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson and then again at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
