Obituary of James Christian Kern

JAMES C. KERN age 72 of Fort Atkinson passed away Thursday October 9, 2014 at his home. He was born on February 5, 1942 in Watertown son of the late Donald and Iva (Rennhack) Kern Jr. Jim had lived at the Apple House/HIL for the past 24 years, after retiring from Opportunities Inc. March 18, 2005. Jim attended Golden Options Adult Day Care. He enjoyed every bit of life, and had a contagious smile. He participated in Special Olympics. He enjoyed singing and dancing and Loved his Coco Cola, and Hamburgers. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends at the Apple House, his friends at Golden Options, friend and guardian Ellen Haines 8 cousins; Lola Meunchow of Beaver Dam, Mr. & Mrs. Howard Rennhack of Humbird WI, Mr. & Mrs. David Rennhack of Lowell, Joan Stone of Beaver Dam, Mr. & Mrs. Richard Klonsten of Fox Lake, Mr. & Mrs. Victor Rennhack of Beaver Dam, Sandra Helmbrecht of Fox Lake, Mr. & Mrs. George Strohbusch of Beaver Dam. He is also preceded in death by 7 cousins, many aunts, and uncles and his special Aunt Verona. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday October 15, 2014 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson with the Rev. Garrett Struessel officiating. Burial will be in the Lowell cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until noon.
