Obituary of Frances Margaret Frankiewicz

Frances M. "Babe" Frankiewicz, 85, of Jefferson, passed away on Sunday, October 5th, 2014, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Frances was born on October 27, 1928, in Ashland WI and was the daughter of Sam and Josephine (Franzel) Lulich. She grew up on the family farm and attended school near Ashland. Frances married Allen Frankiewicz Jr. on June 5, 1948 and had 10 wonderful children, all of whom she "loved and enjoyed": Jerome, James, Allen, Lawrence, Robert, Lorraine (Brian Rupnow), Jane (Tim Kraus), Joseph (Sherrill), Thomas, and Amy (Paul Stiennon). She also has 10 grandchildren she also loved and enjoyed: Matt, Mike, Theresa, Michelle, Amber, Bianca, Haley, Crystal, Marisa, and Hanna. She was blessed to have five great grandchildren: Gabe, Matti, Jackson, Evelyn, and Riley. Frances loved to cook and bake; many will miss her homemade bread! Frances was a very talented seamstress and loved a good challenge. She helped others with their sewing needs ranging from formal wear to hunting gear, curtains to blankets, and everything in between. Frances also enjoyed crossword puzzles, working in her garden, watching Sewing with Nancy, and Jeopardy. She touched many lives and will be missed dearly. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with Father Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson is assisting the family.
