Obituary of Ida May Marshall
IDA MAY MARSHALL 84, of Jefferson passed away at her home on Monday July 28, 2014.
She was born on May 12, 1930 in Gillingham, Wisconsin daughter of the late John and Emma (Janecek) Marshall.
Ida May began her 40-year teaching career at Jefferson High School in 1952 where she taught math and was the school librarian. She was very active in the Jefferson community, serving on the Jefferson Housing Authority Board and the Jefferson School Board for many years. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling and bicycled all over England and France with several of her close friends. She loved her garden, knitting, collecting antiques and enjoyed playing cards especially bridge. She was an avid sports fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, the Badgers, and the Jefferson Eagles. She especially enjoyed all of her many "helpers" that came to visit, and would assist her with the daily household activities.
She will be deeply missed by her surviving brother, Maynard and wife Mary Marshall of Fitchburg, and her many nieces and nephews.
