Obituary of Barbara D'Aoust

BARBARA A. FRANK D’AOUST age 80 of Jefferson passed away Monday July 14, 2014 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek. She was born on September 9, 1933 in West Bend WI, daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Bartelt) Frank. She married Deane D’Aoust on September 3, 1955 in West Bend, WI. Barb was a teacher in Oregon WI, as well as a yoga instructor and regional manager for Conway Diet. She was a published poet and artist who loved the written word and could find and appreciate great beauty in the smallest, simplest things. She also loved to entertain and knew how to throw a great party. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson and sang in their Church Choir for many years. She was a member of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets and volunteered to teach English to those who needed help with English literacy. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Attorney Deane D’Aoust of Jefferson. Daughters; Claire (Ronald) Corbett of Tipp City Ohio, Michelle (Brian) Dobson of Jefferson, Fay (Reno) Simonini of Madison. Son; Marc (Bruce) D’Aoust of Orlando FL. Grandchildren; Keira (Ben) Ankrom, Jaben Corbett, Linka, Seth, and Kendra Dobson, Anthony and Giovanni Simonini. Sisters; Celia (Roy) Trott of West Bend, Naomi (Jim) Patton of Toledo Ohio, Kathleen Schneiter of Toledo, Ohio. Brother; William (Margaret) Frank. She is preceded in death by her son Cordell D'Aoust, and her sister Angeline Nichols. A private family service will be held at a later date.
