Obituary of Dana Lynn Gould

DANA LYNN GOULD age 56 was born on December 4, 1957 at Eden Hospital in the San Francisco East Bay. She left this world at the Bethesda Lutheran Communities in Watertown Wisconsin to be in God's arms on June 8, 2014. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dr. Allen P. and Gertrude Burkhardt, and paternal grandparents Myron and Ann Gould. She is survived by her parents. Grace and Gerald Gould (Indianapolis, IN); her brothers, Michael (Andrea) of Palm Beach Gardens FL, and Marston of Seattle, WA. She also had three nieces and two nephews, and one grandniece and grandnephew, Dana spent nearly forty years at St. Coletta in Jefferson Wisconsin, graduating from the secondary program in 1977. She returned home to work at Noble Industries for two years, and then she returned to the adult work program at St. Coletta. Her health began to deteriorate and she entered Alverno ICF. When that facility began closure nearly six years ago, she moved to Bethesda Lutheran Community Watertown campus where she remained until her death. Dana was a determined but free spirit. She exhibited a high level of curiosity and while she was ambulatory did not let her infirmities inhibit her. She made friends easily and was much loved by her caregivers. Dana loved dancing, swimming, biking, bowling, and music. The family is grateful for the loving care she has received these last years at Bethesda under the supervision of Vickie Sanford. We are also most grateful for Ellen Haines who has served as her guardian for forty-five years, and has been wonderful support to Dana's family. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday June 11, 2014 in Watertown at the Bethesda chapel, and Dana will be interred on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.at Our Lady of Peace in Indianapolis Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Bethesda Chapel from 9:00a.m until the time of services.
