Obituary of Adella Amellia Mepham

ADELLA A. MEPHAM age 100 of Fort Atkinson passed away on Tuesday January 14, 2014 at the Rainbow Hospice Center in Johnson Creek, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 16, 1913 daughter of the late Charles and Rosa (Polensky) Lenz. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1932. She married Hugo Mepham on September 15, 1934 in Fort Atkinson; he preceded her in death on August 10, 1966. She was employed at the Rain Coat Factory for 1 ½ years, and then at Countryside Nursing Home retiring in 1975. Adella is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and needlework. She was passionate about being a homemaker, and taking care of her family, she enjoyed motorcycle vacations with her husband, spending time up north at their cabin, and traveling with family and friends. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church and the Dorcas Circle and a Charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. She was also a member of Over 50 Club, AARP. Adella will always be remembered for her positive and upbeat personality, she was a very independent and resourceful woman effortlessly adapting to life's challenges. She will be deeply missed by her family; Son Denis (Diane) Mepham of Fort Atkinson. Daughters-in-law; Jackie Mepham-Bauer of Fort Atkinson, Karen Mepham of Fort Atkinson. Grandchildren; Denise (John) Poeppel, Darnell (Judy) Mepham, Jody (Pam) Mepham, Kelly (Charles) Leibfried, Scott Mepham, Shawn (Kent) Jeffrey, Steve (Mary) Mepham, Nine great grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by sons; Donald, Douglas Mepham, grandson; Darrell Mepham, Brothers and Sister; Corliss Lenz, Charles (Elayne) Lenz Jr., Daniel (June) Lenz, Goldie (Jasper) Vetrano, Irene Bohmsack, Delores (Charles) Snodie. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday January 25, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson with the Rev. Bill Beyer officiating, burial will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson at a later date. Visitation will be on the 25th at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Services.
