Obituary of Claude Oscar Ebert

CLAUDE O. EBERT age 80 of Johnson Creek, passed away after a 2 year fight against bladder cancer, on Saturday November 23, 2013 surrounded by his family. Claude was born in the town of Hampden on August 12, 1933, son of the late Oscar and Loretta (Doleshal) Ebert. He farmed in Columbus for many years. On August 17, 1985 he married Ann Cull Richards. Most recently he was employed at the Jefferson Area Business Center until his retirement in 2011. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson. In his younger years he and his brother danced at the Cinderella Ball Room in Green Bay on Saturday nights and then watched themselves on T.V. on Sunday mornings. He loved to listen to WTKM polka music and the "Trading Post". He enjoyed the company of family and friends, and an occasional golf outing with Dave. He will be deeply missed by his wife Ann Ebert of Johnson Creek. Daughters; Shawn (Mark) Meng of Jefferson, Jennifer (Tom) Koch of Watertown, Kimberley (Frank) Rueth of Jefferson. Son; John (Debbie) Richards of Appleton. Nine Grandchildren; Jada Meng, Hudson, Preston, Brandon Koch, Christopher, Cayle Rueth, Emma, Cole, Klara, Richards. One great granddaughter; Charlotte Koch. Brother; Kenneth Ebert of Columbus, Brother-in-laws; Bill (Patty) Cull of Hartland, Earl,(Dawn) Cull of Hartland, Larry Cull of Oconomowoc. Sisters-in-law; Mary (John) Petzold of Portage, Colleen (Jeff) Omann of FL, Susie (Rick) Burnett of CO, Kathleen (Steve) Ballenger of West Allis, many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. He is also preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law; Geraldine (Gerald) Yelk. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, burial will follow in the Parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday November 26, 2013 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, and then again on Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Guest attending are encouraged to wear orange, as that was Claude's favorite color.
