Obituary of Bertha Kotvis

BERTHA KOTVIS age 97 of Jefferson passed away on Sunday August 11, 2013 at her home in Jefferson. She was born on April 12, 1916 in Phelps New York, daughter of the late Edward and Marie (Coene) DeCausemaker. She married Peter Kotvis on July 25, 1941 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Newark, NY. He preceded her in death in 1981. Bertha was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family. She will be deeply missed by her family; Daughter; Katherine Beck of Jefferson, Sons' Peter (Donna) Kotvis of New Berlin, Robert (Kristi) Kotvis of Genesee Grandchildren; Matthew (Theresa) Kotvis, Benjamin (Debbie) Kotvis, Kaitlin Kotvis, Kacey Kotvis, Braden Kotvis Great Grandchildren; Hailey, Amber, Julia, Chloe, Sophie Kotvis One brother Edward (Ann) DeCausemaker NC She is preceded in death by 2 sisters; Marguerite, and Augusta, 4 brothers; Peter, Richard, Robert, Gerald. 3 siblings in infancy. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Wednesday August 14, 2013 with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating; Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
