Obituary of Elizabeth Jean Wedl

ELIZABETH J. "BETTY" WEDL age 89 of Jefferson passed away on Tuesday August 6, 2013 at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1924 in Jefferson daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche (Bilstad) Schroedl. She married Carl F. Wedl on February 7, 1944 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2009. Betty had been employed at Ray-O-Vac in Madison and Meadow Springs Country Club in Jefferson for many years. She is a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson. Betty enjoyed gardening, and loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her children; Bonnie Bull of Jefferson, Vickie MacWilliams of Jefferson, Sonja (Charles) Untz of Lake Mills, Laurie (Jeff) Schopen of Jefferson,, Tammie (Jim) Fischer of Waukesha, Scott Wedl of Jefferson, Todd (Diana) Wedl of Cheyenne WY, 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Sister-in-laws; Germaine Schroedl, Jane Wedl, Leona Wedl all of Jefferson, Brother-in-law; Chummy Wedl of Jefferson She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Carl Wedl, sisters; Mary Mayne, Grace Roethle, Nancy Wedl, brothers; Eugene Schroedl, Donald Schroedl Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 10, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00a.m. until the time of Mass.
