Obituary of Margaret Mary Seisser

MARGARET M. SEISSER, 99, of Jefferson, passed away at the University Hospital in Madison on June 13, 2013. She was born on July 21, 1913 in Chicago Illinois, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Breiner) Zimmer. She married Virgil Seisser Jr. on September 17, 1936 at St. Peter-Paul Catholic Church in Virgil Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1984. Margaret worked as a County Health Nurse for De Kalb County in Virgil Illinois until 1936. She then farmed with her husband in Dundee, and Elgin area until moving to Jefferson in 1952 then they farmed in the rural Jefferson area in Hebron Township. Margaret was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson. She volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul for many years. She enjoyed bingo, cross word puzzles, gardening and she had a green thumb for growing flowers, violets were her specialty. She will be deeply missed by her son Virgil (Mary "Mike") Seisser of Jefferson, Daughter-in-laws; Kathy Seisser of Jefferson and Patsy Seisser of Fort Atkinson. Grandchildren; Debbie (Dan) Vandyk of Wallbridge Ohio, Amy (Steve) Carlton of Eden Prairie MN, Dan Seisser of Jefferson, Rita (Dan) Schiferl of Fort Atkinson, Nancy (Jamie) Letcher of Madison, Joan (Greg) Stoppleworth, of Cross Plains, Jeff Seisser (Fiancé Sheri Troug) of Jefferson, Tiffany (Mark) Misko of Madison, Cassey (Jarrett) Sampson of Fort Atkinson and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons; Robert and Gerald Seisser, two brothers; Jeff and Tony Zimmer, and Sister Rita Sester. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday June 19, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Wednesday at the Church.
