Obituary of Donald Notbohm
DONALD NOTBOHM 88 of Jefferson passed away April 4, 2013 at his home.
He was born on April 11, 1924 in Fort Atkinson, son of the late Roman and Clara (Bass) Notbohm. Donald served in the United States Army from 1941-1944, and he recently had the honor of visiting the WWII Veteran's Memorial in Washington D.C. with his daughter. He married Lorraine Multhauf on November 16, 1946 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson. He was owner and operator of his own semi-truck and was proud to have visited 49 states and traveled into Canada and Mexico.
He was a member of the VFW Endl-Gruennert post 3589 in Jefferson. Don was a lifelong sports enthusiast.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 66 years Lorraine Notbohm of Jefferson
Daughters; LaDonn (Bob) Sadler of Celina, TX, Suzanne (Larry) Martin of Stanton KY.
Grandchildren; Ryan (Autumn) Sadler, Chris (Helen) Martin, Erin (Steve) Clapper
Great grandsons; Mason and Talen Sadler, Roman and Jacob Martin, and Jason Clapper.
Sisters; Betty Punzel of Fort Atkinson, Joan (Stan) Koch of Fort Atkinson.
Brother; William (Beverly) Notbohm of Fort Atkinson.
Sister-in-law; Mary Multhauf of Jefferson, Yvonne Notbohm.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Robert Bass and LaVerne Notbohm, and brother-in-law; Harry Punzel.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday April 8, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Fort Atkinson.
The family would like to thank Rainbow Hospice for the wonderful care they have given to Don and the Family during this difficult time.
