Obituary of Lester Max Draeger

LESTER M. DRAEGER age 86 of Jefferson passed away on Friday March 22, 2013 at Wellington Meadows in Fort Atkinson. He was born on April 27, 1926 in the Town of Farmington, son of the late Walter and Helen (Raabe) Draeger. He married Doris Zimmerman on August 21, 1948 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Rome. Lester was employed in the milk plant at United Milk Company, and Lindberg Hevi-Duty in Watertown. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington. He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan and enjoyed playing cards, and attending his grandsons' baseball games. He will be deeply missed by his wife Doris of Jefferson, daughter; Laurie (James) Butzine of Lake Mills, Sons; Delbert (Linda) Draeger of Ocala FL, Ralph (Susan) Draeger of Fitchburg, Leslie ( Debra) Draeger of Helenville. 12 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. Sister; Evelyn Fischer of Helenville, brothers; Robert (Florence) Draeger of Hartland, Harley (Marjorie) Draeger of Watertown, sister-in-law; Judy Draeger of Watertown. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Susan Draeger, infant grandson Joshua Draeger and brothers; Palmer Draeger and Herbert (Elaine) Draeger, brother-in-law; Kenneth Fischer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 27, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington with the Rev. Richard Pagels officiating, burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson and then again on Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
