Obituary of Gerald Lee Jahnke
GERALD L. "JERRY" JAHNKE passed away on Saturday March 9, 2013 unexpectedly at his home.
He was born on November 3, 1940 in Watertown Wisconsin son of the late, Raymond and Ruby (Zimdars) Jahnke
Jerry was employed at the Jefferson County Highway Department for 37 years and retired in 2001.
Following his retirement he spent his summers attending local Thrasheries and reminiscing about the old days of farming. He enjoyed camping with his family and friends, he enjoyed mowing lawns and especially loved his John Deer tractors, but most of all he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson.
He will be deeply missed by his family; daughters; Tamara (Kevin) Tomczak of Fort Atkinson, Laura (Tracy) Latsch of Jefferson,
Amy (Douglas) Root of Fort Atkinson, and son; Jeffery (Tracy) Jahnke of Jefferson.
Grandchildren; Courtney (Andrew Ascher) Tomczak, Tyler Tomczak, Mackenzie Jahnke, Megan and Logan Latsch, Autumn Root.
Brother; Glenn (Judith) Jahnke of Fort Atkinson, and his former wife; Patricia Jahnke of Jefferson
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 13, 2013 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock officiating, burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home Jefferson and then again on Wednesday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.

You have been the best father and grandfather anyone could ever have.
