Obituary of Myron Francis Vogel

MYRON F. VOGEL age 83 of Jefferson passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Hearthstone Memory Care in Whitewater. He was born on June 12, 1929 in Watertown, son of the late Ernest and Coletta (Wedl) Vogel. He married Dorothy Gosdeck on October 22, 1955 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson. Myron had worked at Borgg Textiles in Jefferson for 15 years, and then he worked as the head mechanic at St. Coletta of Wisconsin retiring after 30 years of service. He also continued working the family farm and was a general "fix it man" in the area as he could fix anything with a motor. Myron was a life time member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and served on the Maintenance Commission as well as tended to all grounds and maintenance needs for the parish. He will be deeply missed by his wife Dorothy of Jefferson. Daughter; Helen (Dennis) Stilling of Jefferson. Sons; John (Susie) Vogel of Fitchburg, Dave (Liz) Vogel of Watertown, Larry (Shelley) Vogel of Milton, Don (Jane) Vogel of Jefferson, Grandchildren; Kerry and Corey Vogel, Megan and Mitchell Vogel Step-grandchildren; Kris Hegge, Andrew Stilling, Brandon, Melissa and Derrik Koxlien, Ashley and Aaron Saucedo. Step-great grandchildren; Taylor Hegge, Cassidy and Emily Stilling. Sisters; Sr. Mariann Vogel OSF of Milwaukee, Luella Vogel of Jefferson, Brothers; Francis (Dorothy) Vogel of Jefferson, Ernest Vogel Jr. and Lyle Vogel of Milwaukee. He is also preceded in death by sister; Elisabeth Schroedl, Brothers; Carroll, Albin, Lawrence, Joseph, James and Arnold. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 9 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
