Obituary of Maxine Brich

MRS. PHILIP R. MAXINE "MICKEY" BRICH, of Jefferson, passed away Thursday January 31, 2013 at her home. She was 94 years and 24 days old. She had not enjoyed good health for several years. She was born on January 7, 1919 to Merton and Ann (Draxler) Kennedy in Park Falls, WI. Mickey attended St. Anthony's Parochial School, and she was a member of the children's choir and later the adult choir. A 1937 graduate of Lincoln High School, she participated in the glee club and band. She also was a member of the Park Falls Community Chorus and enjoyed being in the productions of "The Messiah" and the "Ten Commandments". On August 26, 1941 she and Dr. Philip Brich of Neola, Iowa were married at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Park Falls. After living at many Army posts, they came to Jefferson in 1946 where Dr. reopened his dental practice. Mickey was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Reserve Officers Association League, and the Wisconsin Dental Auxiliary. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Ann Brich of Cudahy, son Philip Brich of Wauwatosa, two sisters; Carol Hoffman of Park Falls, Margaret (Edward) Woytych of Appleton, one brother Basil (Renate) Kennedy of Manitowoc, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, her parents, several brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon, on Monday, February 4, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the Church from 10:00am until the Rosary at 11:45, with Mass at 12:00 noon.
