Obituary of Linda Irene Hachtel

LINDA I. HACHTEL age, 63 of Jefferson passed away Tuesday December 4, 2012 following a courageous battle with cancer at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in Johnson Creek. She was born on June 10, 1949 in Reedsburg, daughter of the late Fabert and Ruth (Porter) Stull. She married Howard Hachtel on July 25, 1970 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. Linda was a Certified Nursing Assistant and was employed at several facilities, most recently at the Wisconsin Heart Institute. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson, and enjoyed volunteering at Christmas Neighbors and Twice is Nice in Jefferson. She also was a dedicated Foster Mother to several children in Jefferson County. She will be deeply missed by her husband Howard of Jefferson Daughters; Debi (Tony) Zick of Jefferson, Tami (Ron) Gjertson of Cambridge, Heidi (Gary) Chesmore of Jefferson. Son Greg Hachtel of Jefferson. Grandchildren; Nathan and Amanda Zick, Cameron Hachtel, Kaity, Jon, and Samantha Gjertson, Christian and Brandon Chesmore, Tim Fullerton. Sister; Judy Letz of Fort Worth TX, Brother; Richard Stull of Marble Falls TX. Special niece and nephew; Leo and Bonny Stull. Many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. And her faithful companion, her dog Sadie. She is also preceded in death by one son; Steven Hachtel, grandsons; Jacob Zick, Nicholas Hachtel, Zachary Chesmore, and granddaughter; Stephanie Gjertson. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 10, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson, with the Rev. Bryan Engfer officiating, with burial to follow in the Hebron Cemetery.
