Obituary of Lucille Catherine DAMS

LUCILLE C. DAMS age, 84 of Fort Atkinson passed away Monday August 6, 2012 at Meriter Hospital. She was born on January 11, 1928 in Wilton Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Theresa (Lyden) Farmer. She married Kenneth C. Dams on October 2, 1947 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Wilton. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1994. She was employed as a Sewer for the Schweiger Industries for many years. Lucille was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson before becoming a member of St. Pius Catholic Church in Cambridge. She enjoyed serving on the funeral committee, crocheting blankets and baby caps for both the Church and the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital where she worked as a volunteer. Lucille loved attending the Senior Center activities especially the euchre games. Most of all Lucille loved reading and gardening, and spending time with her family, neighbors and friends. She will be deeply missed by her family; Daughters; Rosemary E. Dams of Fort Atkinson, Joan E. Dams of Fort Atkinson, Sons; Frebert K. (Therese Toben) Dams of Madison, William D. (Sandi Wendt) Dams of Fort Atkinson, Leo J. Dams of Fort Atkinson. 8 grand children; Melissa Dams, Lesley (Jamie) Pennewell, Lisa (Chris) Shott, Nicholas Dams, Curtis (Stephanie) Stibb, Katie (Josh) Shea, Jacob Dams, Jared Dams. 7 great grandchildren; Cody, Kyson, Mikayla, Jayden, Naomi, Wyatt, Braiden. Sister in law; Carol Farmer of Tomah. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Theresa Stibb, grandson Joshua J. Dams, brothers; William, Donald, Joseph Farmer, and Sister Mary Dwyer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 11, 2012 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cambridge with the Rev. David Timmerman officiating burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Jefferson. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial may be given in Lucille's name to the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Department, or the St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cambridge.
