Obituary of Marjorie Helen Mueller

MARJORIE Helen (HENRY) MUELLER, age 93 of Jefferson, passed away on Saturday July 21, 2012 at Alden Estates in Jefferson where she had been a patient for six months. She was born on March 29, 1919 in Jefferson daughter of the late Nolan C. and Helen J. (Hinz) Henry. She attended grade school & high school in Jefferson and graduated from Whitewater State Teachers College in 1941. She taught high school in Marengo Illinois and Bonduel Wisconsin. On October 2, 1943 at the bedside of the groom's grandmother she married Lt. Richard E Mueller in Oak Park Illinois. Richard passed away in 2010 after 67 years of marriage. She spent the rest of her career as a mother and homemaker. Marjorie was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson. She was an avid golfer and lifelong member of Meadow Springs Country Club. She also enjoyed playing bridge and took great pride in her beautiful orchids. She will be deeply missed by her two children; Richard H (Gloria) Mueller, Avon Park, FL; and daughter, Cynthia (James) Flanagan of Plymouth. Her two granddaughters , Kerry Flanagan (Benjamin) Wehmeier, Bolingbrook, IL; and Megan M. Flanagan, Plymouth; two great granddaughters; Madigan and Lillian Wehmeier. Sister-in-law; Barbara R. Mueller of Madison, and special niece Candace Zickler of Indianapolis Indiana, and other nieces and friends. She is also preceded in death by one sister Lois Franklin, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 25, 2012 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, with the Rev. Wayne Mueller officiating, burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
