Obituary of David Stammer
DAVID "DAVE" STAMMER
David James Ray Stammer, 69, of Phillips, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
He was born on June 12, 1943 to Oliver and Rose (Thieme) in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
He was a graduate of Jefferson High School in 1961. He served in the U. S. Navy for four years.
Dave was employed by the City of Jefferson Street Department for 32 years until retiring in 1998. He was a past member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jefferson.
Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing or other outdoor activities.
Dave is survived by daughter, Tracie of Helenville, sister, Rheta (Carl) Priem of Blairsville, GA., nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and special friend, Sharon Dunston of Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Norman and Dale.
A memorial service will take place at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson on Saturday, July 21, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark O. Bartsch officiating. Military honors will follow the service. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service with military honors to follow.
