Obituary of Adolph Robert Draifeng

ADOLPH R. DRAIFENIG age 81 of Jefferson passed away Sunday July 8, 2012 at his home in Jefferson. Adolph was born on March 25, 1931 to Fred and Rose Drainfenig. Adolph was a member of the St. Coletta family since 1941. Adolf prided himself on his work, some of his jobs included working in the Deep Freeze, the Green House, Hardee's in Janesville to name a few. When he retired he participated in the Excel program and was also a participant in Golden Options. Adolph enjoyed playing cards, the company of friends and had a great sense of humor. His faith was important to him. Adolph was also an excellent advocate for people with Intellectual Disabilities. He became the face and story for 45 individuals who had no funding. Because of his story and hard work along with others these individuals eventually received the funding that was due them and it followed them for the remainder of their lives. Adolph lived a life that had value, meaning and worth. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at on Friday July 13, 2012 at the Chapel of the Flowers on the Alverno campus. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a Time of Remembrance at 10:30 with Mass to follow, and burial will be in the St. Coletta Cemetery Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson is assisting the family with arrangements.
