Obituary of Alan Bert Johnson

ALAN "BERT" JOHNSON, age 30, of Loganville, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 13, 2012 due to an accident. He was born on March 17, 1982 in Madison, the son of Chris Johnson and Penny Flynn. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 2000, and later from Associated Training Services in Sun Prairie. His working career previously included Oestreich Brothers Farm in Lake Mills, Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson, and Seats Incorporated in Reedsburg. He currently worked for Lycon Incorporated in Sauk City. He was a member of SWIRA (Southern Wisconsin Ice Racing Association) and AMA (American Motorcyclist Association). He had a love for life, and especially enjoyed quad racing, building engines, hunting, and motorcycles. Alan is survived by his mother, Penny (Joe) Flynn of Loganville; father, Chris Johnson of Fort Atkinson; brothers: Christopher Riddle of Mauston, Adam (Leslie) Johnson of Lake Mills, and Joe (Ashley Hohn) Johnson of Fort Atkinson; step-brothers: Brian Flynn, stationed in Afghanistan, and Bruce (Terri) Flynn of Madison; nephews: Brandon Flynn, Christopher Riddle Jr., Dylan Johnson, and Quinlann Hellenga; Godchildren: Carli Lenz, Rebecca Christ, and Dylan Johnson; maternal grandmother, Carol Vinje; paternal grandfather, Aaron Endl. He was preceded in death by grandparents Wallace Vinje, LeRoy Johnson and Lila Endl and uncle, Mark Johnson. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home, 900 W. Racine St., Jefferson, WI. With the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Those wishing to extend sympathies through donations may direct them to SWIRA Club.
