Obituary of Thomas Henry Lucas

THOMAS H. LUCAS, 74 of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Thursday March 22, 2012 at his home. He was born on January 31, 1938 in Jefferson, son of the late Henry and Adeline (Helwig) Lucas. He married Ann L. Schweiger on January 30, 1965 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Tom graduated from the University of Wisconsin Platteville in 1961 with a degree in Industrial Arts & Coaching. He taught at Cambridge High School and coached their Basketball team to a regional championship. He was also employed at Schweiger Industries for 25 years. He also found great enjoyment in driving bulldozer and building golf courses. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson, and was a member of Lake Ripley Country Club, and Past President of the Willowmere Hunt Club. He was also a member of the Operating Engineers Local 139. He will be deeply missed by his wife Ann of Fort Atkinson. Daughter; Ann Marie (Scott) Finnessy of Pewaukee, Son; Peter Jay Lucas of Cambridge. Grandchildren; Lucas John Finnessy, and Eva Lucille Finnessy. Sister; Donna (Elroy) Akin of Hartford. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his mother and father in-law, and brother-in-law. Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday March 31, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
