Obituary of Virginia Caroline Bigelow
VIRGINIA C. BIGELOW, 95, of Jefferson, passed away on Monday February 13, 2012 at Marquardt Manor in Watertown. She was born on December 12, 1916 in Winona MN, daughter of the late Carl and Rose (Stolpa) Zaborowski.
She married Melvin J. Bigelow on September 4, 1937 in Minnesota.
Virginia was a homemaker, and loved spending time with family and friends.
She enjoyed crocheting, and baking. She was a 4-H leader and a member of the Sullivan Home Makers. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters; Jacque (Eugene) Bauer of Fort Atkinson,
Janice (Terry Voice) Downing of Madison, Cheryl (Michael) Hans of Oconomowoc,
Son; Carl (Gail) Bigelow of Bowling Brook IL.
10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Sister; Florence Ronnenberg of Wabasha MN, Brother; Carl (Irene) Zaborowski of Winona, MN. And her pen pal of over 50 years; Elaine Quyle of Isle of Man in Great Britain.
She is preceded in death by her sisters; Dolores Coshenet, LaVern McNamara, and her brother Clarence Zaborowski.
Memorial Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday February 24, 2012 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating, private burial will be in the St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Cemetery in Sullivan.
Visitation will be on the 24th at the church from 1:00p.m. until the time of the Mass at 3:00p.m.
