Obituary of Ruthmary Aletha Mater

RUTH MARY A. MATER, age 74 of Jefferson, passed away Friday December 2, 2011 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born at home on January 8, 1937 in Jefferson, daughter of the late Harry and Ruth (Nohr) Lang. Ruthmary married her soul mate, John C. Mater on April 16, 1966 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and they were blessed with 39 years together before his death on December 14, 2005. Ruthmary worked for Home Insurance in Milwaukee for many years. When she was able she attended Faith Community Church in Fort Atkinson. In 1995, upon the death of her mother, Ruthmary and John moved to her childhood home where they lived next door to her younger sister, Judy (Bob) Mero and she was able to realize her lifelong dream to own a dog, and her canine companion, Mikey, will be waiting at Heaven's gate to greet her. She will be deeply missed by her sister Judy (Robert) Mero of Jefferson Niece; Terri (Daniel) Schuman and her beloved grand-nephew, Lukas of Oregon, WI Nephew; Tim (Lynne) Mero of Madison. Sister-in-law Margaret Hale of West Allis. Other relatives and friends. Following Ruthmary's request, no funeral services will be held. Burial will be at a later date.
