Obituary of Richard Guerra

RICHARD GUERRA age 55 of Jefferson passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday November 21, 2011 after a very courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 2, 1956 in Edinburg Texas, son of Raul and Natalia (Compian) Guerra. He married Bonnie Berg on September 27, 1973 in Jefferson City Missouri. Richard was employed at Nestle Purina Pet Care for 34 years retiring in 2008. He currently was employed as a custodian for the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Richard had a passion for music, and loved his animals, especially his dogs. He had a laugh that was contagious and was considered a master joke teller. He liked to watch the Packers play but was true a Dallas Cowboy fan. He was always the life of the party and was friends with everyone. Nothing in life was more important than his family and he will forever be in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by his wife Bonnie of Jefferson His mother; Natalia Guerra of Jefferson Daughter; Audrey (Tremayne) McGraw of Jefferson, Son Richard (Meghan) Guerra of Janesville Grandchildren; Jalen, Treven, Braden McGraw, Benjamin, Karsyn, William Guerra One sister; Lucilla "Mickie" Martinez of Sun Prairie Brothers; Ruben (Virginia) Guerra of Jefferson, Rene (Mona) Guerra of Beaver Dam, Raul (Virginia) Guerra of Jefferson and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, sister; Erma Swan, and brother Robert Guerra Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 23, 2011 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Comstock officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the family or to the donor's preference.
