Obituary of Robert Ellis Biwer

Robert E. Biwer age 82 of Johnson Creek passed away on October 18, 2011 at the Watertown Hospital. He was born on June 13, 1929 in Johnson Creek, son of the late Mathias and Mathilda (Vogel) Biwer. Robert married Vesta M. Petersen on June 9, 1951 at the St. Lawrence Rectory. He and Vesta farmed the family farm in the Johnson Creek area for many years. Robert was the Insurance Agent for Helenville Mutual Insurance for 38 years, and Board President for 10 years. He served on the Jefferson County Drainage Board for 20 years and on the Johnson Creek Co-op for 25 years, and a member of the AMPI for 30 years. He will be deeply missed by his wife Vesta of Johnson Creek, Son Edward Biwer of Johnson Creek He is preceded in death by his daughter Shari Biwer in 2006, 3 sisters; Marie Seitz, Margaret Schopen, Ethel Biwer, 3 brothers; James, Raymond, Victor. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday October 21, 2011 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be at the Church Friday evening from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
