Obituary of Della Loraine Green

DELLA L. GREEN age 89 of Jefferson passed away Friday October 14, 2011 at her home. She was born on September 12, 1922 in Fullerton, Kentucky. Daughter of the late Merideth and Verna (Boggs) Thompson. She married William Green on November 7, 1941 in Catlettsburg Kentucky; he preceded her in death on February 17, 1991. Della was employed for Moores Food Products in Fort Atkinson, and Schweiger Industries as a seamstress, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the VFW Legion Auxiliary. She will be deeply missed by her 10 children; Cissy Haney of Jefferson, Linda (John) Cooper of South Shore KY, Susan (Henry) Haney of Lake Mills, Teresa Seymour of Jefferson, Lea (Jim Swanson) Green of Albany WI, Clyde (Nancy) Green of Watertown James (Susie) Green of Johnson Creek, Larry (Sharry) Green of Jefferson, Dee Green of Jefferson Danny (Dee) Dodson of Sun Shine IL, Daughter in law; Debbie Green of Fort Atkinson. 36 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. One sister; Betty June Tackette of Arizona. Brothers Bill Thompson of TN, Luke (Tamaka) Thompson of Hawaii, Jack Thompson of OH She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son Robert Green. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 19, 2011 at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 18, 2011 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the funeral home and then again on Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
